• Black and White Photography Workshop

    This two-day black and white photography workshop, led by photographers Jesse Glazzard & Ben Bradish-Ellames was held at Assembly Darkrooms in London on 14th & 15th December 2025.

    The workshop was designed for transgender, non-binary, and gender-questioning youth aged 18-26.

    This intimate evening with Richard Maguire, took place on 12th September 2025 at 9 Lower Mall, Hammersmith in London; a stunning historic waterside home where Richard was hosted by Cardion Arts and 9LM in an artist residency for a month.

  • Hey QT! Cardion Artists’ Salon

    This event hosted by Cardion Arts & the Museum of Transology with Ajamu X, Kasra Jalilipour, Emily Pope, Jonathan Baldock, Prem Sahib, Emily Witham, Niya B, Gemma Rolls-Bentley & the Museum of Transology’s Community Curators.

    This day-long event invited emerging queer + trans artists to take part in creative workshops, engage in critical discussions and form peer connections with established artists on show.

    The Hey QT Salon was rooted in the themes of Talisman, an exhibition which explored the power of personal objects, identity and transformation.

  • Talisman Exhibition Opening

    The Talisman Private View was held on 3rd July 2025 at 185 Park Street, London.

    This was followed by an opening event, hosted by Brandy X, which included a reading by Joelle Taylor, Campbell King performed their new song ‘My Mates’, as well as poems from exhibiting artists and an uplifting set by DJ Lil-E

  • Cardion Nights 2025

    Our first Cardion Nights event, presented by Cardion Arts and ICA, platformed new and existing performance-based work. This one-night event, curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley, created a space for queer performance and raised funds for the vital work of akt, a charity supporting queer and trans homeless youth.

    The event was timed to coincide with Zero Discrimination Day and the gathering was a call for inclusivity, compassion, and community. The performers included:

    Ebun Sodipo: She presented ‘The Way Her Tongue Settled’, a performance drawing on the life of Vitória, an enslaved African trans woman in 16th century Lisbon. Through song, movement, and monologue, Sodipo explored archival pleasure, eroticism, and trans femininity across history.

    Die Lemma: The trans femme artist of German and Ethiopian heritage presented an Ethiopian fairytale through visuals, voiceover and song. Her performance was a love letter to her heritage and black music, while challenging expectations of representation.

    Eve Stainton & Florence Peake: The movement artists presented Abstract 1, an abstracted movement practice. Through physical connection and disconnection, they reflected on futility, commitment, love, and difference.

    Tom Rasmussen: The acclaimed musician performed songs from their albums ‘Live Wire’ and ‘Body Building’, delving into queer life, self-forgiveness and visibility.

  • Ultraviolet Closing Event 2024

    Friday 12th July 2024 at 15 Bateman Street, London.

    The closing event for our Ultraviolet exhibition, celebrated the vibrant and diverse talents of queer artists.

    This included performances by Whiskey Chow, Danielle Wilde,Travis Alabanza & Campbell King

  • Ultraviolet Opening Night

    4th July 2024 at 15 Bateman Street, London.

    ‘Ultraviolet’, a powerful and thought-provoking group exhibition which delved into the intricate world of coded language, symbols, and gestures nestled within queer communities. 

    The exhibition featured some of the biggest names in queer art, including new work by the iconic Maggi Hambling and a selection of new and existing works by Ajamu X, Lulu Bennett, Kudzanai-Violet HwamiOlivia Sterling, Shadi Al-Atallah, Elsa Rouy, Sarah Jane Moon, Zach Toppin, Sadie Lee, Dale Lewis, Ebun Sodipo, Sola Olulode, Eva Dixon, Whiskey Chow, Sarah-Joy Ford, SHARP and Kevin Kane. The exhibition was curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley and Ell Pennick.
